INDUSTRY VETERAN MIKE COLLINS JOINS S1 MARINE AS DIRECTOR OF DEALER DEVELOPMENT Ft Lauderdale, November 10 – Mike Collins, one of the best-known names in the marine industry, has joined S1 Marine, LLC, parent company of SeaStrike Boats and SportCraft Boats, as Director of Dealer Development. Tom Thies, President of S1 Marine, said, “The addition of Mike Collins is a giant coup for S1 Marine. We’ve taken two of the most respected brands in the industry and rebuilt them over the past several years. Now we have added perhaps the pre-eminent specialist in dealer development to the S1 team. This is a man with 40 years of experience with some of the most famous brands in the industry.” Noted Collins: “ I had been admiring the work Tom was doing in patiently reconstituting both the SeaStrike and now the SportCraft lines. I watched as he purchased the former SportCraft plant in Perry, Florida and converted it for production of both brands. And then I had the opportunity to join him and thought it was the perfect opportunity to help take the company to the next level.” Collins will be responsible for the dealer networks for both brands, working with existing dealers and helping to target, sign and train additional dealers in key locations. Since 1989, Collins has held a variety of management positions with American Marine Holdings (AMH) in Sarasota, parent company of Donzi, ProLine and other brands. He most recently served as President, Government Services for AMH. From 1995 to 2004 he was President, AMH Corporate. Before that, he served three years as EVP of AMH Corporate. From 1989 to 1993 he was VP of ProLine and from 1985 to 1989 was Director of Sales for Donzi Marine. He previously held positions with Chris Craft, WellCraft and Thunderbird/Formula.
